The preeminent show for professional design, with 70,000 square feet of style, luxury and all things au courant.
To say MAISON&OBJET is a tradeshow is like saying the Taj Mahal is a house. It is the premier entity for design events, hosting shows in three inspiring global destinations: Paris, Singapore and Miami. The summit has dubbed itself a springboard for design brand growth, and the show has been described as one of the three most important design events in Europe.
MAISON&OBJET Americas, now in its second season, brings the essence of European design to Miami, uniting more than 300 lifestyle brands that include designers, luxury retailers, architects, hoteliers, restaurateurs and more for a crowd of more than 10,000.
This year’s director, Gastón Isoldi, is a Miami resident who hails from Reed Exhibitions, where he previously served as the director of business development. Isoldi works with the North and South American markets, applying his extensive experience as a luxury tradeshow organizer.
Designer of the Year
MAISON&OBJET’s Designer of the Year, Rafael De Cárdenas, is a prolific designer with a portfolio that reads like an industry reference book: He’s been featured on Architectural Digest’s AD100 list, he was the first and only American invited to AD Interiéurs Voyage in 2012, and he has worked with iconic brands like Baccarat, Barney’s New York and Cartier, among (many, many) others. De Cárdenas’ SoHo-based firm, Rafael de Cárdenas / Architecture at Large, offers a specialty not in specificity, but rather in breadth of imagination. His projects span from commercial and residential interiors, to art consulting, to temporary and pop-up spaces.
