Jonathan Rajewski: Ordinary Spheres
June 1 - July 18
Nina Johnson Gallery presents recent work by Detroit-based artist Jonathan Rajewski in the new exhibition Ordinary Spheres, which consists of hundreds of spheres arranged on the gallery floor in a grid-like solar system. The spheres are made with found materials such as dog hair, beeswax, sand, cigarette butts, socks, utility bills and eggshells. Individually, each is the result of a specific moment in time for the artist; collectively, they create a portrait of his thoughts, interactions, movements and environments. The spheres are accompanied by several of the artist’s recent works hanging on the walls. By appointment only.
