A mix of European luxury and Asian proportions is the inspiration behind lifestyle designer Eric Dyer’s new 35-piece Arthur Collection. “These are timeless modern pieces, both beautiful and comfortable, with correct proportions,” says Dyer, who is also the creative director of Troy Dean Interiors in Hallandale Beach. To achieve this end, Dyer opted for scale similar to traditional Japanese design, mixed with the fashionable, modern finishes of Italy. Each piece is handcrafted for heirloom quality. Available exclusively at Troy Dean Interiors in Hallandale Beach.

A Kitchen Full of Surprises
Italian designer Alessandro Isola has created “The Cut,” “a kitchen that wants to be a diva,” for Mia Cucina. The innovative, completely modular design takes its name from its fascinating use of a parallel set of three “slices” of dark and light colored material that make up the monochromatic kitchen’s counter area. The center “cut” of the trio slides out horizontally and rotates 90 degrees, creating seating. Cantilevered upper cabinets offer vertical storage units that float above the main counter and provide space for dishes, spices and cooking supplies. A freestanding wall of totally mechanized cabinetry houses refrigeration and electrical appliances.
