Star-Worthy Fashion – Miami Finally Gets Its Long-Awaited Dior Store for Women
Dior fans in Miami have been waiting for the designer powerhouse to debut a fashion boutique here ever since Dior Homme opened its doors in the Design District in 2012. Now they finally have their wish. Dior’s first stand-alone women’s retail store in Miami has officially opened. The three-story space includes a floor dedicated to fashion and accessories, including Dior’s signature handbags, and a salon exclusively for fine jewelry and watches. The second floor features the designer’s ready-to-wear collection, while the third has an exclusive VIP salon and garden terrace for private appointments.
Dior devotees may come for the iconic fashions, but they’ll be equally delighted by the space itself. While the interior was inspired by Dior’s flagship store on Paris’ Avenue Montaigne, the façade, designed in partnership with Paris-based Barbarito Banc
el Architectes, features concrete panels that nod to the city’s contemporary art scene. As a token of good luck from Monsieur Dior himself, the star symbol found atop Dior boutiques in Tokyo and Korea also graces the Miami location, becoming the first in the U.S. to bear it.
As if the fashion eye candy weren’t enough to lure you in, several works of art command attention once you step inside. From the Terence Main cast-aluminum bench at the entrance to the video art wall by Oyoram, the store’s gallery-worthy art complements the shopping experience. If it’s timeless elegance and design you’re after, the new Dior boutique delivers in spades.
