TV Personality and Broker with Douglas Elliman
You may recognize Christopher Leavitt from Million Dollar Listing Miami, which aired on Bravo in summer 2014, or as a guest contributor on Mornings with Maria on Fox Business. These days, he is one of the top brokers at Douglas Elliman, the largest real estate company on the East Coast, where he’s sold in excess of $150 million in real estate this year alone.
When did you first become interested in real estate? When I was 17 in high school, we were able to do an internship anywhere in the world. I chose to go to Palm Beach to work for the finest real estate broker there. I admired his lifestyle and that’s when I discovered that this is what I wanted to do with my life.
What drew you to residential real estate? My father was really good at buying and selling. I loved the drama and the excitement of negotiating of the deal.
What is your greatest accomplishment? Being on TV to showcase what I do. Also, when I sold the $34 million triplex penthouse in Miami Beach, which was the largest condominium sale in the history of Florida and had the highest price per square foot for an individual condominium.
What is your biggest challenge? Reinventing myself every day. We have to be huge self-starters and self-motivators.
What do you envision for your future at Douglas Elliman? To continue to be at the top of the company and bring them great deals.
What would you still like to accomplish? A new TV show about real estate that is in real time.
What do you like to do in your downtime? Watch House Hunters on HGTV.
