South Beach-Inspired Menu Item at Umami Burger
A savory new spin on all-American classics is served up daily at Umami Burger, a much-more-than-a-burger-joint concept by Adam Fleischman, a master of taste and texture with a devoted following around the world. Until recently, its one-of-a-kind offerings were a Southern California phenomenon, but Umami has opened its first east coast restaurant right here in South Beach.
Each location is designed around the vibe and history of its specific community. The result is a sophisticated, carefully curated selection of burgers, sides and accompaniments in every new market. Meant only for this location, their Cubano pays homage to the classic Cuban sandwich and features a ground-pork patty with braised pork belly, American cheese, bread and butter pickles, shaved prosciutto, smoked ham and pineapple-mojo mustard.
Alongside “greatest hits” burgers and the exclusive Cubano is a plethora of palate-pleasing a-la-carte items including fried pickles with jalapeño ranch, thin fries with truffle cheese and ruffle salt, and truffle beet salad. You can wash it all down with your choice of a dozen draft beers, affordable wines or specialty cocktails.
Umami SOBE is located at 1080 Alton Road in South Beach and is open Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. To learn more, visit www.umami.com/umami-burger/eats/south-beach/ or call 305.672.4334.
