JEWELRY DESIGNER, ENTREPRENEUR AND CHAIRMAN AND CO-FOUNDER OF THE LITTLE DREAMS FOUNDATION

Q: What inspired you to create the Little Dreams Foundation?

A: I received lots of demands from aspiring young talents. I saw a huge need for these children who did not have the resources to follow their dreams and decided it would be a great way to help them.

Q: Have you been involved in other charitable organizations?

A: Yes, I have supported AIDS and cancer research causes.

Q: Tell us about your humanitarian awards and recognitions.

A: I was honored to receive the Femme Dynamisante Clarins Award in 2006.

Q: Why is giving back important to you?

A: Giving back has given me some of the most joyous experiences in my life. You can’t put a value on changing a life.

Q: How can our readers get involved with the Little Dreams Foundation?

A: They can support us by donating to our Foundation online or by supporting our events around the world. They can also support us by spreading the word about our mission, which was founded nearly 15 years ago to audition underprivileged musicians and talented athletic and artistic children 4-16 years old, then mentor them for a year.

Q: What inspires you when designing a new piece for your jewelry line, OC Jewellery?

A: My designs are inspired by my travels, my family and my children.

Q: How did you get into the jewelry business?

A: It had always been a dream of mine to design jewelry and one day I just decided it was time to begin.

Q: How would you describe the OC Jewellery brand?

A: The OC Jewellery brand is an eclectic collection of my experiences put into an art form.

Q: What advice do you have for selecting a piece from your collection?

A: I always advise my clients to choose a piece of jewelry that they have a connection with. I believe we should wear jewelry that makes us feel happy and surround ourselves with things we love.

Q: Tell us about your communication and events company O-Com S.A.

A: I created O-Com in 1994 as a way to further my involvement in nonprofit work.

Q: What drives your entrepreneurial spirit?

A: Absolutely loving what I do and being grateful for it every day.

Q: As an avid world traveler, where’s your favorite place to visit?

A: My favorite place in the world is Thailand Koh Samui

Q: Where would you like to go that you’ve never been before?

A: I would love to visit Bora Bora.

Q: How did you get into martial arts? (We hear you have a black belt!)

A: I got involved with martial arts to help train my mind and spirit but also to be able to assist young children with disabilities. It is a great way for them to improve their motor skills, and I have seen some amazing results.

Q: What is something people would be surprised to know about you?

A: I think people would be surprised to know that I have my Gentleman Drivers License and have driven Formula One racecars.

A: I see myself being happy, successful and enjoying myself immensely by attending my son’s professional soccer games and concerts.
