Q: How does it feel to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Women’s Fund?
A: As a feminist I am truly honored to be recognized by the Women’s Fund. They are committed to improving the lives of women, and we are and will be the true backbone of our families.
Q: Did you ever dream you would become such an influential role model?
A: No I did not. I think it just happened through lots of hard work and dedication to bringing to my audience the best show we could produce.
Q: What has driven your success?
A: The need to be No. 1 at everything I do. Many times I have fallen short of this goal but not because I didn’t try.
Q: Whom do you admire?
A: My friends Gloria Estefan and the late Celia Cruz. They stand for excellence in their lives and fields.

A: Feeling fear.
Q: What do you most want to be remembered for?
